The community buys water tanks from the town Qabatiya at a rate of 50 NIS per 3 cubits. In the summer, the community needs about 3 cubits of water per day. However, the community is sometimes able to use a nearby connection. For several years, there have been efforts to procure an authorized connection.

Until 2016, the community relied on wood stoves and fire, but they've since been connected to the electricity of a nearby tourist site. However, the electricity is very weak, especially in the summer.

The community has existed since before 1948, though it was larger at the time. A mosque in the area is claimed to be over 1,000 years old.
