There is no transportation provided to the schools. The roads are very difficult dirt roads, and in the winter the roads are even more impassible. It is a very long distance for young children to walk.
Some of them have with no choice to stay at relatives houses in Abu Nuwar, so that they can reach school in the morning, because their families have no option to bring them by private vehicles. These children return to their families on the weekends.

After they were expelled from Negev/Tel Arad in 1948, they moved to Masafer Yatta then to Jerusalem district, next to Al-Hathroura and Khan Al Ahmar.
