Water Access - details
In May of 2016 The ACF funded a project to create a sustainable water resource in the northern valley. The project was supposed to connect four thousand people to water. In August of 2016 the ICA demolished the water pipes (3000 meters length) that connect Yarza to water coming from Tubas and confiscated the pipes , pressure reducer, and water meter.
The community rehabilitated the destroyed pipes and reconnected themselves to water but the connection is weak and many still have to buy water tanks for high prices.
Some residents depend also on winter water collection wells.
The village committee are considering to apply, through USAID and with the help of Bimkom, to the High Planning Council in the ICA for a permit for a water network.
